Runaway jet ski crashes into Mexico beach restaurant killing one, injuring two | Daily Mail Online
A runaway jet ski crashed into a restaurant near a Mexico resort beach, killing a souvenir vendor and injuring two tourists.
The horrific incident took place on Friday at beach club and eatery the Mango Deck on El Medano beach in Cabo San Lucas in Baja California Sur.
Shocking video footage of the incident was captured on the restaurant’s patio security camera and shows the moment the jetski, which was unmanned, careened off the beach and smashed into the fence surrounding the outdoor restaurant.
The watercraft hit beach vendor Alejandra Garcia de la Rosa, who captured in the surveillance video in white with her arms full of souvenirs walking on the sand.
The jet ski also smashed into a table and hit a pair of tourists whose backs were turned towards the beach.

The video shows the craft speed through the water and crash into the fence with great force before landing on the ground.
Diners became panicked after the crash and restaurant staffers and patrons ran to help the injured.
Garcia de la Rosa was seen laying motionless in the sand. Employees performed CPR on her but were unable to revive her.
The two tourists reported serious injuries and were taken to a private hospital.
An orange life vest was seen hanging off the watercraft’s handles following the collision.

'Mango Deck Beach Club deeply regrets the events that occurred on the afternoon of August 7, 2020 at the Medano beach. It is worth mentioning that this event was caused by external and totally unrelated factors to the restaurant,' Mango Deck said on Facebook after the crash
'This afternoon there was an unfortunate accident at El Médano beach in Cabo San Lucas, an out-of-control Jet Ski was projected at high speed onto the beach area,' state coordinator of Civil Protection, Carlos Godínez León, said to Mexico News Daily.
The restaurant released a statement after the incident saying they're cooperating with authorities and the accident was outside their control.
'Mango Deck Beach Club deeply regrets the events that occurred on the afternoon of August 7, 2020 at the Medano beach. It is worth mentioning that this event was caused by external and totally unrelated factors to the restaurant,' Mango Deck said on Facebook.
'Our facilities were directly damaged and our image collaterally, but what concerns us … are the sad consequences of the accident,' the restaurant statement added.
